There is a ton of free information waiting to arrive in your inbox. Yes, everyone wants you to buy their particular "diet" plan, however it's not necessary to spend money in order to benefit. Most of these trainers/nutritionists have free newlsetters and blogs that contain a wealth of information. What you'll find when you read enough of them is that the core information is the same, it's just the packaging that's different. And depending on you, someone will just "speak" to you better. Everyone is different, so customize, customize, customize. The basics are lots of fruits & veggies for all the nutrients, phytochemicals, etc. that are good building blocks for us. Some protein. Some exercise. I finally figured out that the womens' magazines need to sell issues every week or month, so they need lots of different diets/exercise plans to keep the public buying. I'll continue to add links to stuff I've used, present or past, as one of these may be just the one you need. Burn the Fat is the only book I've purchased from the following list. I did buy Ultrametabolism when it first came out...learned I was doing about 90% of what was recommended, so passed the book on to someone else who could benefit.

I purchased this e-book in January 2006. The first chapter is key. Tom Venuto recently published a normal people version in hardback, The Body Fat Solution. Same good info as Burn the Fat, but targeted to us, not fitness body builders like the original.
www.peertrainer.com  Just stumbled onto this site recently. I signed up for their newsletter. Lots of great information, very similar in vein to Venuto
www.fat2fitradio.com I listened to a few of their podcasts, nicely done, follows a guy in California who yoyo'd and is now relosing the weight with a lifestyle & nutrition changes.
www.askjaysonhunter.com  Certified nutritionist, also sells his version of Carb rotation.
www.fightingfatforamerica.com Also from Jason Hunter

www.jonbenson.com Links to his other sites as well like Fit Over 40.

I signed up for the Mercola newsletter. He's got a free nutritional typing test that helps you figure out what your emphasis on eating should be more protein, more veg, or a mix. I'm a mixed, do better with more veggies in my diet. He also has some free nutrition plans to help you get started.
